Convert 3D files and keep textures

Texture preservation depends on the source format. Convert3Dfiles is designed to work best with formats that can include or reference textures correctly, such as GLB, GLTF ZIP, OBJ ZIP and USDZ.

Best used for

  • Product visualization
  • Packaging mockups
  • 3D assets with image textures

Important notes

  • GLB is usually the safest format when you want one file with embedded textures.
  • OBJ should be uploaded as a ZIP with the OBJ, MTL and texture images together.
  • STL and PLY do not embed textures, so they are not ideal for textured workflows.

How to use Convert3Dfiles

For textured OBJ or GLTF workflows, upload the model and all linked assets together in a ZIP file. This gives the converter the best chance to preserve textures and materials.
