Convert ZAE to USDZ for packaging previews

ZAE files are often used in packaging and 3D visualization workflows. Convert3Dfiles can read ZAE archives and export to formats such as USDZ, OBJ, DAE, STL and PLY, depending on the file.

Best used for

  • Packaging design previews
  • Esko-style 3D workflows
  • AR-friendly USDZ exports

Important notes

  • ZAE is a zipped Collada-based format and may include textures and linked assets.
  • Packaging files can have special label materials, UVs and texture setups, so results can vary between viewers.
  • Use the Esko options in the converter if labels or sleeves need adjustment.

How to use Convert3Dfiles

For textured OBJ or GLTF workflows, upload the model and all linked assets together in a ZIP file. This gives the converter the best chance to preserve textures and materials.

No. Convert3Dfiles is designed to run the conversion locally in your browser.

Can textures be preserved?

Texture preservation depends on the input format. GLB, GLTF ZIP, USDZ and OBJ ZIP are usually better choices for textured workflows than STL or PLY.

Does preview cost credits?
